France to relax travel rules from the UK

French Government announced last week that it will relax its restrictions for those travelling from the UK from Friday, 14 January.

Fully vaccinated travellers from the UK can now enter France without restriction provided they can present a negative Covid test taken in the 24 hours before they depart. Both PCR and antigen tests are accepted.

At the same time, British vaccinated travellers are no longer required to complete the “ÉOS passenger” digital platform before their trip to France.

All travellers might be screened upon arrival through COVID-19 testing. Those who test positive will be obliged to quarantine, even if they are vaccinated.

Travel rules for Un-vaccinated travellers

While travellers who are vaccinated against COVID-19 can enter for whatever purpose, including tourism, unvaccinated travellers still need to present a compelling purpose of entry to be permitted into France.

Registration on the platform remains mandatory for the un-vaccinated ones by giving the purpose of their trip to France and the address where they are planning to stay.

Travel rules for Children

All travellers aged 12 and over entering France must present a negative PCR or antigen test that is less than 24 hours old, including those who are fully vaccinated.

For unvaccinated minors under 12 years, the vaccine status of their parents or accompanying guardians applies.
