The government has decided that with the return of all pupils to schools, in order to safeguard the health of the teaching workforce and keep as many staff, pupils and students in school and college as possible, twice weekly testing should take place.
Gov.uk states that all schools and colleges should offer regular, twice weekly testing to their staff which is not mandatory however is strongly encouraged in order to identify staff and pupils who are carrying the virus without displaying symptoms, reducing the risk of transmission.
The use of rapid lateral flow tests allows identification of individuals with Covid-19 who do not have symptoms, which are said to make up around a third of all cases.
Test Assurance Group (TAG) can help you to return pupils and staff to your education sites effectively, safely and within your budget with our bespoke testing solutions.
Our unique, secure, GDPR compliant app-based system is quick to set up and easy to use within any organisation that wants to introduce a regular Covid-19 LFD testing regime to keep their employees, residents or pupils safe, well and on-site.
Mass testing for Covid-19 is designed to find individuals with active infection but who are asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic, as early detection and subsequent quarantine can interrupt spread on site, preventing closures.
TAG tests are always administered by trained medical professionals, which greatly increases the accuracy of the test result by ensuring it is carried out in the correct way, whilst reducing the risk of Covid-19 exposure at the test site with proper PPE and sanitation protocols.
TAG can also provide a 1-day on-site course which has been specifically designed by a Covid-19 test specialist and is suitable for up to 6 people to attend following current social distancing guidelines.
The course covers:
- PPE and preparing your testing stations
- How to swab effectively
- How to carry out the testing process
- Incubation time periods and why a void may be recorded
- How to interpret the results
- What to do if a positive test is recorded
- Safe disposal of clinical waste
- Risk Assessment provided for continuing on-site swabbing
- Advice on room layout, signage and marshalling requirements tailored for your organisation
